YEAR END GIVING

2024 with the Eagan Community Foundation

Greetings Foundation Friend,

As the year draws to a close, we are taking a moment to reflect on the profound impact made possible by the generosity and support of our community members: funding for food assistance programs, homeless shelters, activities for at-risk youth, scholarships for our future leaders and more… All enabled by the support of donors and volunteers.

As we move into 2025, we hope you will consider making a year-end donation to the Eagan Community Foundation. Your generosity will help us continue to make Eagan a thriving and vibrant place to call home.

Together, this year we:

 ●     Awarded a record $144,250 in scholarships to 122 Eagan-area students, helping them pursue their dreams

●     Brought back the wonderful International Evening of Eagan fundraiser for a second year, celebrating diverse flavors and traditions found in Eagan and around the globe

●     Expanded our Community Grants Program to include our new Art Works Legacy Fund – adding significant arts funding alongside grants for social service organizations

●     Hosted hundreds of business, nonprofit, and civic leaders through our Happy Hour and Coffee Break Connections events that develop relationships across sectors, strengthening the fabric of our community

As our new Board Chair Derek Boeve (coincidentally – a banker) reflects over his past eight years of board service, we noticed some great “community investment” trends from the Foundation:

●      In 2024 we hit the $3 million mark in giving back to the community though grants, scholarships, and other community initiatives since our inception in 1991 (that’s thousands of students getting scholarships, meals served in Eagan, shelter nights, community events, and more)

●      Just in the past eight years, we distributed $1.5 million, illustrating tremendous growth in the community’s generosity and the Foundation’s capacity

●      In the first 14 years of our grants program, we awarded $76,000; in the past 8 years we nearly doubled that to $140,000 awarded since 2016! With the launch of our new Arts Endowment, it will only take a few years for us to award the next $140,000.

Even with the great story these numbers tell about growth and generosity, we know that the road ahead leaves so much more to be accomplished. Each year, we fall short on scholarship and grant requests, but we are working harder than ever to unite Eagan to help close these gaps – fund more meals, shelter services, programs for at-risk youth and people with disabilities, and of course more scholarships to help students reach their potential.

Please consider making a year-end donation to the Eagan Community Foundation. Together, we can make a lasting difference in our community. You can donate at www.eaganfoundation.org/contribute or by mail at PO Box 211192, Eagan, MN 55121. Thank you!
